Mapping the Multi-discipline, Together
GWKL celebrates multi-disciplinary narratives and practices of contemporary Malaysian creativity and culture, through accessible and inclusive programming. The programming presents a quality, eclectic vision with features from participating institutions, galleries, project spaces, artists, collections, with focus on the highly popular, Luminary Programme which hosts international experts in dialogue with local talent.
Launched in 2016 as an annual, long weekend event, subsequent years continued to grow the marquee with increased participation and full attendance at the Luminary Talks. In 2020, GWKL extends to more than a week in duration through popular demand, and pivots to include virtual presence, giving global accessibility through webinars, digital presentations and exhibitions, and tours.
GWKL continues to provide unique encounter with cultural assets and multidisciplinary practices. Celebrate the culture of encounter in KL.
